Guild Wars 2 Marketplace

The Guild Wars 2 design team have certainly brightened the day for many of the GW2 Krewe today with the announcement of a GW2 Marketplace!

The in-game Marketplace will support postings from both sellers AND buyers and will also be available out of game through your web browser. While you must be in-game to put a new item up for sale, you'll be able to browse the market, make bids, or even cancel your own auctions and offers without running the game.

If the items you have on offer sell while you're offline the funds will be deposited in your Guild Wars 2 "bank account" and the item removed from your inventory and placed in the buyer's storage. Similarly, if you place a bid for an item and it is successful the item will be waiting for you in your storage when you next log in, with the amount you bid being withdrawn from your bank account and deposited into the sellers bank account.

Another huge step forward for Guild Wars 2 fans to look forward to.
