Your Guild Wars 2 Personality
Curtis Johnson, one of the designers on Guild Wars 2, has revealed how the actions and interactions with others affects how your personality develops in GW2. Much like in real life, how your character responds to others will develop and change your personality over time, which in turn will affect how the game treats you as you play through your personal story.
| When you first create a character in Guild Wars 2 you have a biography, which sets your starting personality, but almost immediately you'll start refining it depending on your choices when interacting in dialogue with NPCs. |
Con someone and you'll become more of a "Scoundrel" type personality. Inspire someone and you'll be known as "Honorable" or maybe even "Noble". Bully and boast your way through Guild Wars 2 and you might well be labelled "Barbaric".Don't despair though, if you find you're not being treated the way you thought you might be, you can change your attitude and your actions and improve your personality to something more to your liking (and probably everybody else's!).There are many opportunities to use your personality for significant reward. Personality is one of the primary ways you will cash in on karma rewards which are earned by helping other players with their personal stories and by participating in events.Personality rewards can be benefit you in different ways. Some of the first titles available for display are linked to your personality but also up for grabs are rewards such as extra experience, Mercenaries joining you free of charge, increased speed and various items which improve your skills and abilities.Guild Wars 2's personality system will help you be you! After all, it is YOUR story.
