Play Guild Wars 2 at gamescom
It doesn't seem like a year's gone by but it's time for gamescom once again and this year the Guild Wars 2 playable demo is busting with new content. With two new races to play and PvP ready to roll for the very first time, GW2 fans have lots to look forward to.  Running from Thursday to Sunday, August 18-21 in Cologne, Germany, the GW2 roadtrain is in full swing for the biggest European games convention. Here's the daily schedule for those lucky enough to be able to make it.
Thursday, August 18 :
- 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm - Three sessions of the Guild Wars 2 Live Demo. The 12:30pm and 5:30pm sessions will be in English.
- 3:00 pm - The Art of Guild Wars 2 - ArenaNet Q&A. Art Director Daniel Dociu and Concept Artist Kekai Kotaki discuss the art philosophy behind GW2.
- 6:30 pm - Designing Guild Wars 2 - ArenaNet Q&A. Lead Game Designer Eric Flannum and Lead Content Designer Colin Johanson talk about designing Guild Wars 2.
- 7:00 pm - Day Finale - A wrap-up of the day with GW2 loot up for grabs.

Friday, August 19 :
- 11:00 am, 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm - Three sessions of the Guild Wars 2 Live Demo. The 4pm session will be in English.
- 11:30 am - Bringing the World of Tyria to Life - ArenaNet Q&A. Lore and Continuity Designer Ree Soesbee and Writer John Ryan discuss writing for GW2.
- 4:30 pm - Let's Talk PvP in Guild Wars 2 - ArenaNet Q&A. Game Designers Isaiah Cartwright, Jon Peters, and Jonathan Sharp talk about PvP.
- 7:00 pm - Day Finale - A wrap-up of the day with Guild Wars 2 loot up for grabs.

- 3:30 pm - Costume Competition. Come dressed as a Guild Wars 2 or Guild Wars character for a chance to win great prizes!
- 4:30 pm - Big Prize Giveaway. One lucky fan will take home an amazing Alienware M14X Gaming Laptop!
- 4:45 pm - Closing Event. Join members of the Guild Wars 2 and Carbine Community teams, NCsoft staff, ArenaNet staff to end the convention in style!
- 7:00 pm - Day Finale - A wrap-up of the day with GW2 loot up for grabs.
